日本アバイア、次期コミュニケーションミドルウェアで MS の UC ソフトウェアに対応

企業向けコミュニケーション用システム大手の日本アバイアは2007年10月17日、 12月に販売予定のコミュニケーションミドルウェア「Avaya Application Enablement Services」次期バージョンの、 「Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007」への対応を発表した。

Office Communications Server 2007 は、 マイクロソフトが同日発表したリアルタイムコミュニケーションサーバー。

Avaya Application Enablement Services は、 IP-PBX ソフトウェア「Avaya Communication Manager」の CTI 連携に用いるミドルウェア。 Office Communications Server 2007 に対応することで、 Avaya Communication Manager と Office Communications Server 2007 のユーザー企業は、 Microsoft Office などのアプリケーションと社内電話システムを統合できるようになる。

Avaya は2006年3月に発表した Microsoft とのグローバルパートナーシップのもと、 SIP ベースのテレフォニー連携機能を開発、 今年2月から、 Avaya Application Enablement Services を Office Communications Server 2007の前バージョン「Live Communications Server 2005」に対応させ、 「Avaya Unified Communications Solutions for Microsoft」として販売している。
