MySQL of the Year 2004 の受賞者発表

MySQL AB は2004年4月23日、 「MySQL Application of the Year」と「Partner of the Year」賞を発表した。 賞の発表は MySQL Users Conference & Expo で行われた。

MySQL Application of the Year 2004 の受賞者は Sabre Holdings。 Sabre は S&P 500 企業で、 MySQL で同社の基幹業務サービス用の Air Shopping 製品を強化している。 Air Shopping は、Sabre の Travelocity のほか、 ワールドワイドの旅客会社、旅行代理店、オンライントラベル検索を管理している。

次点は Cox Communications と LiveJournal。 Cox は EdgeHealth の開発メンテナンス会社。 EdgeHealth は大量の基幹業務用データウェアハウスアプリケーションで、 MySQL で強化している。

LiveJournal は Danga の運営するオープンソースプロジェクトで、2,800,000 のアカウントを持つソーシャルネットワークと Blog プラットフォーム。ここで MySQL サーバーを使用している。

また、MySQL Partner of the Year 2004 は Novell が受賞した。 Novell は MySQL を NetWare 6.5 の標準 DB としている。 次点は SAP と Rackspace Managed Hosting だった。
